During the spring of 2025, we will continue to fix and renovate Restenäs, both outdoors and indoors. During two weekends, March 28-30 and April 30 - May 3, we invite you to Restenäs Makeover where we fix, paint and arrange to make it look nice but also start renovating some rooms/doors to prepare for upcoming schools and courses.

 

In addition to working a few hours each day, we will have worship and teaching both in the morning and evening.

TASKS
At the time of writing (January 2025), we have a list of more than 30 different projects/tasks that we can do during a Makeover. We will probably not be able to complete all these projects/tasks during one Makeover, but we would like to prioritize the following during the months of March and April/May.

 

The projects are divided into outdoor and indoor projects, so depending on the weather on each date, we may focus on one
of the lists

 

Outdoor

Raking leaves, burning grass, general outdoor, cleaning along the roads and stairs to Tallåsen, removing grass from paths etc, moving out garden furniture, collecting branches, brushwood etc for the May fire, cutting and splitting firewood, replacing stones at flower beds, pruning apple trees, moving swings to healthy branches.

Indoors
Ekhagen: toilets, rooms, entrance hall, clean basement and apartments, doors/windows, door locks, oil doors, sealing
strips, etc.

White house: put up wall boards, insulate inside, paint, finish classrooms, clean.

Solbacken: door locks, replace windows, replace doors, tear out old “cleaning room” and prepare to put in kitchen instead.
Björkbacken: cleaning apartments and rooms

 

We will start on Friday afternoon/evening and finish on Sunday afternoon. We will plan for worship and teaching morning and evening with work during the days and of course “café hang out” every evening. If you come by train/bus we can pick you up in Ljungskile or Uddevalla.
